Boxing Day – let the Tournament happen. - The recovery and sightseeing.

After morning eats we did a visit up to Terry & Cathy's, here is a few pictures of their Digs.

Babe on the front porch and a couple of shots off the back
Veranda.

I know Karl wishes he was here having a gnome time.

Throw in a couple of Cockies for the noise.

Now on to the games at theBoambee Creek Barbee area at the east end of Toormina at Sawtell. Terry, Cathy, Mac and others did the Barbie thingy. We all ate burgers and sausages till full. Did I mention that we also brought Tooheys. The main thingy, the 'Oh- Shit' tournament, began with three heats needed to played before the championship round. I did terrible, even being fortified by Tooheys, and was eliminated in the first round. Babe won her first round to advance to the finals.

The Barbee at Boambee -a nice area – Thanks Terry & Cathy

Some of the kids, including Terry and Boris swam in the river by the barbie. Later, walking on down river and over the railroad bridge to the other side of the river. Here it becomes a nice beach as it enters the ocean, with plenty of playing in the water was done.

Kris & the girls in the river.

Then to Cathy & Terry's in the evening for the card finals – Terry won – keeping the trophy for another year. We enjoyed the evening on their veranda and spent the evening there. There is a possibility that we may have drank too much.

Championship Round back at Terry & Cathy's.

The morning after – and another great day out.

December 27th after morning eats, we (B&B, B&K, P&K, T&C and the 4 Princesses) headed up to Dorrigo, stopping first at the 'Dorrigo Steam Railway and Museum' for some photo ops, then on over to Danger Falls and the Turdle Farm.

The wine is done !

Galah's enjoying our view.

One of 36 Steam Loco's hoping to be fired up.

Lined up are some of the 65 Locos, 280 Carriages and Wagons,
19 Railcars/Trailers and thousands of smaller items.

Danger Falls

Posing on the falls overlook.

Everybody needs to see the 'Lava Tree'.

At the 'Turdle Farm'.

On into Dorrigo for a strollabout and a lunch at the 'Fernery Bistro' in the unique Heritage Hotel. On the way back we stopped a neat overlook of the Bellinger Valley, before stopping at Mac's for a cup of coffee in Bellingen.

Heritage Hotel - home of the 'Fernery Bistro'

A great take of the Bellinger Valley and beyond.

Back to Urunga. Kris, Jo Ann and Babe went to the Club for the Pokies. They brought back some fish and chips for dinner. We then played cards with uncle Mick, Paulines brother, till late on our last night in the Kingdom of Urunga. I guess I don't need to mention the Tooheys kept flowing.

At this time, We just want thank all the Williams and their families for making the 'Up Overs' feel so welcome and as a part of their family. Your hospitality could not have been better. We would like the opportunity to return the favour someday. Think about it -- plan. Thanks again.
