'Tooheys National Weekend' and I am honored to respect their traditions.

It's last weekend before Boris heads back to work. This means head to Collingwood Beach beach at– Moona Moona Creek each day for a couple of hours then back to rest and plan the balance of the day.

Over our stay at Woollamia Manor House, we made several most enjoyable trips to the beach. Here is a collage of beach scenes from these jaunts.

First thing at Moona-Moona we must check out the chics.

This pair for March for sure.

Building a short term castle

Ya gotta go upstream before ya can float down.

Just a floatin in the creek

Looks like Kris is in control

Babe can sleep anywhere.

Then you take the walk back upstream.

Tory & Kaiya take their turns.

Now here is some real great smiles.

Boris and the Girls

Lets head over to the beach side.

With a couple of sailboats on the way.

OK Kris you can go on out -its not that deep.

It wasn't a shark & it wasn't that big.

There goes the dolphin boat.

Anxiously waiting for the next wave.

Did anyone find my contact.

Just plain having fun.

There's a good one.

This wave provided a little ride.

Then the Dolphins came to play.

How exciting & captivating it is to watch them.

Kaiya,Tory, Boris and the Shadow do a sand castle.

Putting on the final touches.

Now that's Magnanimous.

-and deserves a blessing from the Queen.

Friday - After beach and a rest, we did a walk on the Willowford wild life track- saw only horses. Later after Tortilla Soup and Quesadillas we all played Yahtzee. We had an owl fly into the patio door startling everybody. He perched on the veranda for photo ops and probably stayed the night, as he was still there when we retired.

Saturday - Beach in the morning, to town for groceries, sandwiches for lunch, Tooheys and nap, Tooheys and snacks, Tooheys and feed the birds, tooheys and barbee burgers for dinner, tooheys and a Skip-Bo card game. Now to top the evening off – a tooheys. (get the point- I got the pounds)

Sunday – Slept in for some reason, then went to beach, swimming and floating as usual. This became just a plain good relaxing day. Eating snacks, doing a creek walk, then a good ole fashioned Roast Beef Dinner, back to the veranda and the birds, etc.

Here is some more pic's from Kris and Boris's place, reminding us why it's was so enjoyable just relaxing and chatting in this atmosphere.

The famous veranda from the middle of the yard,
and some of the wildfowl I missed before.

Now the view from left to right.

Down through the neighbors yards.

Close up with a cockatoo feeding.

Now a through the yard towards the bend in the creek.

This is what is meant by relaxing.

Straight down towards the creek and the 'Green Cluster' garden.

Looking back up to the 'Green' garden.
Off to the right- with a pair of Netball birds. (Kookaburras)

The right property line is just as cool as the rest.

Lets go creekside (Currambene Creek)

Boris and Tory on far bank checking the landscape.

The girls sure enjoyed the tow back to this side.

A great upstream view.

Now this is relaxing at its best.

Or is fishing the best?

One thing for sure. Many an afternoon
and evenings were well spent here.

The Surrounds of Castle Canyonleigh in the Highlands: Berrima - Lochyersleigh – Goulburn

We started the year off right with Boris doing sausage, ham & eggs on the grill. That brought everybody back to reality. We packed up and were off to Jo Ann's for a couple of days in the Highlands. Going over Mt. Cambewarra into Kangaroo Valley and past Moss Vale and the Hume Hiway and onto Canyonleigh Road to Jo Ann's for some real country relaxation. Later Kris,Tory, Babe & I did a touristy thing, driving over to Berrima, did a walkabout, fig jam, mango butter and lollies. Don't tell the others about the large custards. Back for steaks, corn on the bone and salads for dindin, played cards till bedtime.

Some of fine Equines at Canyonleigh.

Around Auntie Jo's Place

A look into the distant east.

Boris & Kris at Jo's place.

The Next Morning-Wednesday
After toast and coffee, we walked up the hill & fed the chooks at John & Judy's. Then we took a real neat day trip. First over to Lochyersleigh, a 10,000 acre working ranch, that is a very historical place. We were met by the owner Jean Onions and her housekeeper Chrisy, who entertained and treated us to tea and scones in the Manor House. Jean then gave us a tour of the house ( On the National Heritage list) and a brief history of the ranch. Lochyersleigh has many structures that you would expect to see on a spread of this size. We roamed about the property near the stables, barns and into the woolshed. Auntie Jo at one time maintained the horses on the property.

Views into the ranch from Lochyersleigh road.

The Stables

Blacksmith and other shops.

The fantastic Manor House.

The across the bridge.

And up the path we go

Here we are in sheep heaven.

The pens to hold em' before they are defrocked.

The shearing equipent all in a row.

In the bailing room.

A neat tree on property as we left towards Goulburn.

From here we drove into Goulburn and did the Courthouse, Railway Station and St. Saviour's Cathedral. Also food experience at the 'club hell' bistro. We picked up some bread and beer returning to Jo Ann's for a late dinner and relaxed.

Goulburn Court House.

Goulburn Railroad Station

You wait and it may come.
Cathedral of St. Saviours at Goulburn.
Beautiful altar and window area.
Nativity scene.
Organ Pipes.
Arch n' Arch

Next Day- Thursday
After a Light breakfast, we did walkabout into John's paddocks. Jo Ann with Cricket used John's ATV with babe then the Girls then Kris taking turns riding thru the grasses, eventually spooking the cattle.

Loaded up and ready to go.

Looking back from top of the hill.

Alright! Who are these guys in my back yard?
It's alright girls - well just go around.

What the hell was that an ATV?

Did we do that? Look at em go.

Tory & Kiaya by the pond on the way back.
We packed up and headed back to Woollamia, stopping in Nowra for fish & chips, then Kris fixed us a Veal Parmesan Dinner. Watched some TV and did the standard veranda thingy.
